My ACCA’s Life
Three years ago, I saw ACCA’s name on my enrollment notification; I got interested at first place. However, I’ve been struggling, hesitating whether to learning ACCA for a whole summer vacation due to the pressure I might carry. Before I made my final decision, I remember I asked myself a question “if you give up acca, will you regret?” I got an answer obviously, if I give up, I would certainly regret. Besides, I got my parents’ full support. So, I joint the ACCA program.
Now, three years passed, I have passed 9 out of 14 exams, and I never regret I’ve choose it. Look back to those three years, what I’ve learned are not only professional knowledge, but also to a better person. Now, I’d like to share my feelings when I was learning ACCA.
English, this is my first impression on acca, because all the knowledge is written in English. During the learning of acca, my English ability has proved a lot, including listening, speaking, reading and writing. English nowadays are indispensable skills in the society, and thanks to acca, my English ability has improved.
Profession, ACCA is a professional accounting association, the knowledge what I can learn from is beyond my imagination, we can learn accounting, management, economics, auditing, taxation and financial management, more importantly, acca teaches me to have professional behavior, and become a moral man. And all of this, I can never learn from a normal college life. During the three years’ study, I’ve learnt many professional kills: how to make financial statements; how to measure performance; how to make budgets, etc.
Self-study ability, acca requires high self-study ability; you can’t always depend on your tutor. In addition, this ability is very important in people’s future career development. Before I went into college, I barely had self-study ability, and now, I self-study ability improved a lot.
Persistence, acca has totally 14 exams, many people cannot persist to pass all exams, and they just give up during the midway. It is a long journey to pass all the exams, and it’s easy to get bored. But, my principle is: once you choose it, you have to finish it. ACCA makes me patient and persistent. Even though I have only passed 9 exams, I know I will pass all the exams as soon as possible.
Confidence, nothing will be easy, acca obviously is not that easy to pass, especially at P level. For me, I can always meet problems while I’m learning. However, I worked hard and practice a lot, and finally I solve the problem. This process is fantastic, and it does help to build my confidence.
Friendship, studying acca needs cooperation; you can’t always stay in your own world. When I was learning acca, I find my best friend. We can study together, play together; and when we face difficulties during the study, we stick together, we support each other. If I’m not learning acca, I may never possess this precious friendship.
The learning of ACCA gives me lot things. Not only acquire professional knowledge, but also build my personality. And, I’m really appreciating it!
